The "Trade Journalist of the Year 2019" has been announced: Christoph Seyerlein took first place with his article "Heute Palast, morgen Ballast?", published in the trade journal "kfz-betrieb" (Vogel Communications Group). Seyerlein received the "Karl Theodor Vogel Prize of the German Trade Press - Trade Journalist of the Year" award on the evening of May 22 at the Congress of the German Trade Press in Berlin.
"In his detailed text, Christoph Seyerlein succeeds in shedding light on the topic from the perspective of an absolute industry insider - but he never loses sight of the big picture. He has done intensive research and provides his readers with exclusive material. He has also written his very dense text with adept verve - but without losing the necessary objectivity," explains jury chairman Prof. Dr. Lutz Frühbrodt.
Second place went to Dr. Nina Drexelius for her article "Die Saatbombe" in "Das Hebammenforum" (German Midwives' Association DHV). Third prize went to Roland Pimpl for his article "Dear diary ... 03.05.2035", published in "Horizont" (dfv Mediengruppe).
The "Deutsche Fachpresse" and the "Karl Theodor Vogel Stiftung" (Würzburg) have been awarding this prize to the best trade journalistic articles since 2005. They present current specialist and industry topics in an excellently researched and exemplary linguistic, stylistic and visual manner with high reader and industry benefits. The three winning entries were selected from a large number of submissions by a ten-member jury chaired by Professor Dr. Lutz Frühbrodt, University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt.
"I am delighted with the jury's decision. We are proud that the reigning 'Trade Journalist of the Year' comes from our company. After all, specialist journalistic quality plays a more important role than ever for our products and media brands," emphasizes Vogel CEO Matthias Bauer.
