The excitement knew no bounds when the confetti cannon fired its shower of pink snippets at the industry's power women of 2019 as part of the dealer gala at the "bike und business" symposium in Würzburg on November 20. All winners, but only one winner.
In the fifth "Bike Woman of the Year" award organized by "bike und business" and supported by the motorcycle clothing brand Modeka as well as the lubricant specialists Meneks (Bel-Ray, Ipone) and F.B. Mondial (MSA Germany), the 2019 "Bike Woman of the Year" award was won in a neck-and-neck race by Irene Kotnik from Berlin (founder of the "Petrolettes" motorcycle women's festival) ahead of Patricia Ackerschott from Hamburg (trainer at Louis) and Susanne Scholz (Managing Director of SMS Westpoint Harley-Davidson Augsburg).
The evaluation focused on personality, individual accents in the motorcycle business, their networking in the professional motorcycle community, their social media activities and the balance between work and family. "The candidates have impressively shown us the inspiring and individual commitment with which they have followed their personal path in the two-wheeler business so far and want to continue, what their goals are and where they are also involved outside of their professional lives," says Stephan Maderner, Editor-in-Chief of "bike und business". The jury selected the five best from a total of 34 applicants.
The top 3 of the "Bike Woman of the year 2019" award:
1stplace: Irene Kotnik from Berlin (Petrolettes)
2ndplace: Patricia Ackerschott from Hamburg (Louis)
3rdplace: Susanne Scholz from Augsburg (SMS Westpoint Harley-Davidson Augsburg)
Among the top 5 are:
