The "Industry Days" took place for the first time on April 21/22, 2020. With over 800 visitors and more than 30 content sessions, the digital event was a very successful start to a new monthly series taking place on the industrial-generation.network platform. The virtual platform is a new offering from trade fair service provider ngn new generation network.
The digital conference event was created in the absence of the opportunity to meet in person and exchange experiences at trade fairs and congresses, for example. It was characterized by a varied, informative and entertaining program covering all aspects of future-oriented technologies such as IIOT (Industrial Internet of Things), 5G and 3D printing. Four specialist media from the Vogel Communications Group ("Industry of Things", "MM Maschinenmarkt", "Konstruktionspraxis" and "Elektronikpraxis") presented the ambitious agenda, which was rounded off by contributions from eleven different international companies.
"We are very pleased with our first virtual conference for the global industry," says Doris Beckmann, Managing Director of ngn new generation network: "With our Industry Days, we want to connect companies and experts worldwide and motivate them to share their experiences with others. With inspiring keynotes and informative contributions, we succeeded right from the start."
The program was correspondingly forward-looking: four thematically different tracks showed how industrial companies can act constructively in the current crisis under the overarching theme of "resilience". The spectrum of topics ranged from new working conditions and successful crisis communication to the opportunities for new business models presented by such a systemic upheaval. The program also included very specific technical options for hygienic safety in the industry. At the end of the two-day programme, all participants came to the conclusion that digitalization and exchange in interdisciplinary groups will be the key to successful business in the future.
The "Industry Days" were broadcast live and viewers had the opportunity to ask questions after the various sessions. They were also able to network directly with the experts giving presentations on the "industrial generation network" platform.
"The Industry Days in April 2020 were a very professionally organized event - both technically and in terms of content. This format and the content hit the nerve of the times. The moderators and experts contributed to an all-round successful virtual conference," says Dieter Krockauer, Vice President Digital Transformation at KINEXON, a company for IoT applications.
The next "Industry Days" will take place on May 26/27, 2020 and June 23/24, 2020. Participation is free of charge, you can find out more here.
The industrial-generation. network platform organized the "Industry Days". It was created at the beginning of March as a cooperation between the Vogel Communications Group and its subsidiary ngn new generation network in response to the restrictions on physical events and travel restrictions. The platform offers specialists and companies from the industry the opportunity to present themselves to a global network and exchange ideas with experts, even in the long term. In addition, new contacts can be generated with virtual events.
