The trade journal "kfz-betrieb" has posthumously honored Andreas Senger (65) with the "Executive Circle Award 2020" for his life's work. When the award winner took over the management of his parents' business together with his brother in 1984, the company had just two locations and only four brands - Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and Volkswagen. The turnover of the two car dealerships was around 30 million euros. At the time, 784 new cars, 819 used cars, 82 new and 180 used commercial vehicles were sold. There were 141 employees.
The family-run group currently has 53 dealerships at 42 locations in eight federal states. The brands Mercedes-Benz, Smart, Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, Porsche and DAF are sold. Additional service contracts are available for the Seat, Iveco and Fuso brands. The dealership group sells almost 43,000 new and used vehicles every year. The company currently employs around 2,900 people and most recently generated an annual turnover of 1.7 billion euros.
Andreas Senger passed away over the Easter weekend at the age of 65 as a result of the coronavirus. "kfz-betrieb" editor-in-chief Wolfgang Michel presented the award to his children Stefanie and Jörg Senger as part of the Executive Circle 2020 with the words: "With the Executive Circle Award 2020, the editorial team honors the outstanding life's work of a major automobile dealer in Germany. The development of the Senger Group from 1984 to 2020 and thus the life's work of Andreas Senger is more than impressive. With Andreas Senger, you could feel in every sentence the commitment with which he developed his car dealership group and turned every little analog and digital screw. With his sudden death, you have lost your father and the automotive industry has lost a great entrepreneur. Andreas Senger has more than earned the Executive Circle Award for his life's work!"
Stefanie and Jörg Senger commented on the award as follows: "We are delighted and touched by the posthumous award for our father's life's work. It will be given a special place in our company where it will always remind us of him."
"kfz-betrieb" presented the award at the "Executive Circle", a forum for Germany's major car dealers. The "Executive Circle" took place for the sixth time. This year, it was not held at Steinburg Castle in Würzburg as usual, but as a digital conference. The event was broadcast live from the Vogel Convention Center. The media brand only invites the top management of Germany's major car dealers to the Executive Circle.
The aim of this event is to establish a cross-brand exchange and network highly qualified expertise. This year, the Executive Circle 2020 was supported by Deutsche Automobil Treuhand (DAT).
