Corona is dominating the headlines - but there are many other important health issues that must not be forgotten. One of them is organ donation. This is why the Vogel Communications Group (VCG), together with the Vogel Foundation, launched the #OrganDonationCardInside campaign to draw attention to this relevant topic for our society.
In a concerted campaign, 16 major VCG trade media from twelve sectors are providing information on the topic of organ donation in print, digital and via social media. They are also calling on managers and employees in the automotive, industrial and IT sectors to support the campaign, encourage others to do so and become organ donors themselves.
The Federal Minister of Health, Jens Spahn, supports the initiative as patron:
"A large majority of the population considers organ donation to be right and important. But too few actually act accordingly and have a donor card. That is why I am happy to be the patron of the Vogel Foundation's initiative, which calls on people to get involved. Every declared willingness to donate gives courage and can mean hope for life for the ten thousand or so people waiting for a donor organ in Germany."
A total of 16 specialist magazines are running single and double-sided print advertisements during the Christmas period. This also includes over 355,000 glued-in organ donor cards that can be torn out and filled in directly. There is also a digital campaign via the VCG specialist portals, including newsletters and social media. The #OrganDonationCardInside campaign runs in November and December 2020 and reaches well over two million readers/users.
