On November 17, the new regional trade fair SchraubTec Ost will take place in Dresden. The theme: screwdriving tasks in the industry. Following the successful premieres in southern, western and northern Germany, the regional trade fair is now inviting visitors to the Saxon industrial triangle of Leipzig, Dresden and Chemnitz to exchange information. The special feature of the concept: the regional proximity makes it easier for trade visitors to take part (short journey and no overnight stay). Over 40 exhibitors will be presenting their products. Around 10 specialist lectures will shed light on current technical topics. The organizers are expecting over 400 trade visitors. Participation is free for visitors. Registration at www.schraubtec.com/dresden.
The organizer of SchraubTec is the Vogel Communications Group (VCG). With the concept of a clearly focused regional trade fair series on the topic of bolted joints, the Würzburg-based provider of specialist communications networks expert knowledge on bolted joints, bolting technology, bolting tools as well as procurement and purchasing in C-parts management throughout Germany. In this way, VOGEL closes a gap in the industry sector. The trade fair concept focuses on the screwdriving tasks of the industry.
The region is extremely attractive for SchraubTec Ost because there is a lot of user industry. Volkswagen, for example, is active at three locations in Saxony. Incidentally, the majority of Porsche vehicles are made in Saxony. And the BMW plant in Leipzig is the Group's electromobility competence center. Germany's only university-owned EMC research laboratory and the two largest lightweight construction research centers in Europe can be found in Saxony. The heart of mechanical engineering beats in nearby Chemnitz, not forgetting the aircraft shipyards in Dresden and the chemical plants in Leuna.
"Saxony is shaping the industry of the future in these regions and SchraubTec is creating good connections for this. The requirements for screw connections are growing in line with the technical possibilities. A concrete exchange of know-how is needed here, and that works best face-to-face," explains Bernd Weinig, Director Trade Fair Solutions & Partnerships at VCG: "The proximity to neighboring Poland and the Czech locations, especially in the automotive sector, is also ideal."
