It is a good tradition at VOGEL that a donation project is an integral part of the training. For many years, the trainees have chosen a children's or youth organization to support. For the past two years, they have done this by means of a communication project: the aim of this project is to raise awareness of the selected organization, support it in fundraising and communicate individual campaigns. To this end, the trainees apply their communication skills.
The apprentices of the 2021/22 training year chose Kindertafel Würzburg e.V. A total of ten apprentices from the 1st and 2nd year were involved, with the website, IT and media experts in charge. Lena Strößner, a trainee from the team, summarizes: "It was a varied experience, we were able to do good, expand our skills and learn a lot - about the Kindertafel and our society as well as about communication."
What was done?
- for the website of the Kindertafel: graphic creation of new design concepts and proposal of new content
- Social media strategy evaluated and usefully supplemented
- Image film - storyboard, expose and shooting schedule
Concrete actions:
- Competition on Instagram and Facebook to increase awareness of the Kindertafel
- Support driver search via various media channels
- Impression film as image advertising "The way of the snack", including shooting and editing
- Technical optimization of the website
The trainees' communication project was worth around 2,500 euros. The Vogel Foundation donated a further 500 euros on top. "I am absolutely thrilled with the commitment and dedication the young people have shown for our voluntary work," says Ute Kremen, CEO of the Kindertafel Würzburg association: "We would like to thank everyone involved for the great result! Any time again!"
"Our young people should not only learn entrepreneurial responsibility during their training, but also take it on themselves and contribute their own skills. For me, this is contemporary commitment and we at the Vogel Communications Group are very proud of our trainees," said a delighted Dr. Gunther Schunk, CEO of the Vogel Foundation.
