Chief Sales Officer (CSO) Benjamin Wahler (32) is leaving Vogel Communications Group (VCG) at his own request on May 31, 2023. He is handing over his current responsibilities to Matthias Bauer (CEO of VCG) on an interim basis. There are no plans to fill the position externally; instead, an internal solution is being sought. The handover process was already initiated and prepared last year.
"He has achieved a great deal at VCG and played a key role in driving forward the realignment of Sales. It was a great and successful collaboration, especially during the transformation process of the past five years," says Matthias Bauer: "I would like to thank Benjamin Wahler for his commitment to our group of companies."
Wahler joined the company in 2007 as a trainee digital and print media specialist and had been working in sales since 2010. After working as a media consultant, key account manager and sales manager for the specialist medium "Laborpraxis", he took over responsibility as Director Sales Executive in 2018. In 2019, he took over overall responsibility for VCG's 50-strong marketing team as CSO.
