The Women Entrepreneurs' Congress of the automotive industry took place for the 15th time in 2005. Two established industry awards were presented at the gala evening on Friday, October 14 in Salzburg: the "Women's Award 2005" and the "Junior Award 2005".
Every year, the most widely read trade magazine in the automotive industry "kfz-betrieb" Wochenjournal & Online and the Shell oil company present the Women's Award to an excellent female entrepreneur in the automotive trade. This year's prize, worth 2,500 euros, went to Monika Buhr, Managing Partner of Autohaus Newel in Cochem. The "power woman" impressed the jury above all with her employee motivation and successful implementation as well as successful ideas and original customer and employee marketing.
First place went to the managing partner of the large Mercedes-Benz dealership: Monika Buhr, Autohaus Newel in Cochem
Second place went to the owner of a small Nissan dealership:
Carola Römer, Römer Motors in Münster
Third place went to the managing director of a small Skoda dealership:
Carola Weichler, Autohaus am Festplatz in Schmalkalden
The Junior Award presented by "kfz-betrieb" and CC-Bank went to Sibylle Neff as the best junior employee in the automotive trade. The prize is also endowed with 2,500 euros. The managing director impressed the jury with her successful succession and handover plan as well as the clear management concept and the high value placed on training and further education in the company.
The second prize went to one of the male applicants, who have only been admitted to the competition since last year.
1st place: Sibylle Neff, Auto Neff in Neckarsulm
2nd place: Jürgen Baumgärtner, Baumgärtner car dealership in Dillingen
3rd place: Daniela Marquardt, Autohaus Marquardt in Stuttgart
"kfz-betrieb" is a trade magazine published by Vogel Auto Medien, Würzburg. The most widely read trade magazine in the automotive industry celebrates its 95th anniversary in 2005 and is the official organ of the German Motor Trade (ZDK), the professional lobby for over 40,000 car dealerships and workshops.
