Höchberg, November 17, 2005
The special interest magazine DVD VISION, published by CyPress GmbH - a Vogel Business-Medien company - has been published with a new layout and editorial concept since the October issue.
The objective for editor-in-chief Stephan Girlich and his team was to position DVD VISION even better in its role as the optimum source of information on the subject of "DVD" and to address new target groups. The cornerstones of the realignment are
- Sorting DVDs by genre
- Catchy color coding system
- Improved rating system with independent ratings for film and DVD
DVD VISION thus continues to offer DVD and home cinema enthusiasts an optimal advisory function and decision-making aid when it comes to new DVD releases and hardware.
Unlike many competitor magazines, DVD VISION will continue to do without supplements in the form of feature films. Editor-in-chief Stephan Girlich: " We are the clear number 1 among the IVW-approved DVD magazines without DVD . We will continue to focus on editorial quality, both in the software and hardware areas. Our readers - the purchase-intensive core target group in the DVD and home cinema market - do not want such supplements, but expect editorial quality and consulting expertise. The circulation development and the high subscriber base clearly underline this."
Parallel to the new concept, the retail circulation of the DVD VISION was increased to 105,000 copies.
In addition, two special editions entitled DVD aktuell will continue to be published in the spring and fall, with editorial focus on new entrants to this growth market.
market.
