Vogel Business Medien continues to focus on expansion and acquires the properties of Groma Publications

Würzburg, May 13, 2005

Vogel Business Medien, Würzburg, is expanding further. After two successful transactions at the beginning of this year, they are now also taking over the trade journals of Groma Publications, Clausthal-Zellerfeld, which are managed under the "Trans Tech Publications" brand, with retroactive effect from May 1, 2005.

Groma Publications has been publishing four renowned titles in the field of conveying technology, especially for the bulk solids segment, with high-quality specialist articles for technical decision-makers for many years. "Bulk Solids Handling" has been the global market leader in the field of bulk solids handling for 25 years and covers all aspects (extraction - processing - conveying - storage - packaging/loading) and developments in the industry. The handling of bulk solids is an essential activity in many industries worldwide. Knowledge of the behavior of these materials and the available technologies has a significant influence on the end product. 80 percent of all products were bulk solids in their initial or intermediate form.

The equally international "Powder Handling & Processing" is the successful equivalent for the powder segment. The title focuses on the chemicals, plastics, food and animal feed sectors. "Schüttgut" is the industry magazine for the German market; "Powder and Bulk International" is a regional special edition specifically for the Chinese market, in Chinese.

The titles are published 26 times a year and are internationally positioned with subscribers in 140 countries. The publications will be integrated within Vogel Business Medien into the newly founded company Vogel Transtech Publications, and the editorial teams and sales force will be taken over completely.
