Würzburg, October 17, 2006
Vogel Business Medien, Würzburg, has launched the first online portal as part of its innovative range of specialist information. The Business Efficiency Portal of MM MaschinenMarkt (www.maschinenmarkt.de) marks the start of a wave of new websites that take into account the changed information and advertising behavior in B-to-B communication: decision-makers receive content with high utility value for their individual needs; advertising customers measure their advertising success with generated customer contacts (leads).
"We are driving digital change in the trade press with our new business efficiency portals. Advertising success can be measured with the lead generation model, and by tailoring our content to individual information needs, we are meeting the increased demands of our target group," said Claus Wüstenhagen, CEO of Vogel Business Medien. "Decision-makers research information from trade journals on the Internet and vice versa. This has also been impressively proven by the German trade press in its impact analysis."
Over the next few days, further portals from the electronics (www.elektronikpraxis.de) and automation (www.elektrotechnik.de) sectors will go online. Vogel IT-Medien, Augsburg, will follow at the beginning of next week with three portals on the topics of storage, security and network (www.searchstorage.de, www.searchsecurity.de, searchnetworking.de). Next year, further Vogel Business Medien properties will be launched with corresponding websites. By the time the project is completed, around 150 new jobs will have been created throughout the Group.
The new portals were developed by the Vogel Future Group, a corporate unit made up of employees from all areas of Vogel Business Medien. The concept focuses on new content and forms of advertising such as white papers and webcasts. Thanks to numerous new search and filter functions, users can quickly and precisely obtain high-quality information for their current professional tasks. For the first time, industry customers have the opportunity to measure the success of their advertising measures with a comprehensive range of new advertising formats.
