Frankfurt, September 15, 2006
The car dealerships and independent dealerships with the best online automotive business in 2006 have been chosen. The most widely read trade journal in the automotive industry "kfz-betrieb"-Wochenjournal & Online and the Internet car exchange AutoScout24 presented the "Internet Sales Award" for the third time in 2006.
The awards ceremony took place at this year's Automechanika in Frankfurt am Main and attracted a great deal of interest from the industry. The prize money and vouchers worth a total of 7,000 euros were presented jointly by "kfz-betrieb" editor-in-chief Wolfgang Michel and the Sales Director Classified Germany of the AutoScout24 Internet portal, Manfred Seidel. With the Internet Sales Award, the leading trade journal in the automotive industry "kfz-betrieb"-Wochenjournal & Online together with AutoScout24 honors German automotive companies that not only have an attractive website, but also have the internal processes relating to vehicle sales via the Internet under control.
Ranking of the top three
1st place: The Renault branch in Hamburg. The company managed to install a very convincing and successful website at www.renault-hamburg.de within six months, virtually from scratch.
2nd place: The Kunzmann dealership in Aschaffenburg (Mercedes-Benz, Smart, Chrysler, Dodge). The car dealership group demonstrates highly professional competence in all automotive online fields at www.kunzmann.de, including a successful Spanish website.
3rd place: Beresa GmbH Münster (Mercedes-Benz, Toyota). The car dealership group has the online business under control at a high level and has approached a very special target group in a new way with www.familycars.de.
The rest of the top ten
4th place: Dürkop GmbH (Opel, Kia, Volvo, Fiat, Alfa, Lancia, Cadillac, Corvette, Saab, Bosch Service), Braunschweig
5th place: Audi Center Stuttgart (Audi), Stuttgart
6th place: Seger Automobile GmbH (independent dealer), Würzburg
7th place: V.V.P. Podlech GmbH (Volvo, Ford), Hattingen
8th place: Auto Staiger Leipzig GmbH (Opel, Opel commercial vehicles, Honda cars and two-wheelers), Leipzig
9th place: Laube Automobile (independent dealer), Neuensalz
10th place: Corsmann GmbH (Opel, Hyundai, VW Service), Herford
The jury examined everything to do with the car dealers' online presence. The design and maintenance of the website were just as important as the marketing of vehicle sales on the Internet. Internal processing and the organization of workflows were also examined and evaluated.
