The first issue of the new free entertainment magazine CYNAMITE from CyPress GmbH, Höchberg, has been launched. It is published with a circulation of 200,000 copies and is aimed at an entertainment-interested target audience with the sections 'Movies & Music', 'Games' and 'Hardware'. CYNAMITE offers news, information, specials, interviews, event information and product presentations that are clearly written and easy to understand for everyone.
"We see CYNAMITE as a suitable instrument for attracting new target groups to the entertainment segment and thus making a decisive contribution to market growth," says Winfried Burkard, Head of Advertising at CyPress GmbH. The close editorial integration of the areas of film, games and music is intended to increase the intensity of purchasing behavior. Special attention will be paid to the female audience, which has so far been underrepresented in the target group of gamers and home cinema owners and therefore represents a high growth potential for the industry. The aim is to distribute the magazine to at least 40% of female recipients.
CyPress can bring its comprehensive expertise - in the games, home cinema and DVD markets - to bear in CYNAMITE and implement it editorially in a target group-oriented manner with the help of an expert team of editors. Christian Blendl has taken over as editor-in-chief in addition to his role as editor-in-chief of PlayStation 2 - The Official Magazine.
The innovative distribution concept is tailored to the target group. The magazine is distributed in public places such as internet cafes, trendy pubs, hairdressing salons, fitness and tanning studios and games shops. Distribution is supported by two full-service providers with proven expertise in the distribution of free magazines.
As a sales concept, the alternating dispatch guarantees an addressable potential of approx. 400,000 people per year. The defined sales locations are served for one year; at the end of the year, the sales structure is realigned. In this way, new target groups are always addressed and developed. On the other hand, potential customers have sufficient time to familiarize themselves with the subject matter. IVW certification is applied for.
The demand from customers and the positive feedback from the industry have encouraged CyPress GmbH to follow up the first issue of CYNAMITE with four more this year. The next issue is scheduled for September 28, 2006, and the following issues will be published monthly.
