At CyPress GmbH, part of the Vogel Medien Group, everything revolved around soccer on July 20. The CyPress Football Cup was held for the fourth time. Well-known companies such as Nintendo, Sony Computer Entertainment and Paramount battled for victory in summer temperatures. A total of 18 teams and around 200 players took part. As in the previous year, Nintendo narrowly won the final in a penalty shoot-out. Atari came second and handygames third.
At the subsequent After-Cup-Party, which took place at "Pane e Vino" in Würzburg, more than 300 experts from the DVD and games industry met; the number of participants had once again increased compared to the previous year. CyPress Managing Director Alessandro de Bochdanovits: "I am very proud that our CyPress Cup has now become a real meeting place for the entertainment industry. The idea of getting to know customers and business partners better through a playful approach has been a complete success!"
But there was even more reason to celebrate: CyPress GmbH took the opportunity to celebrate its tenth anniversary with customers, employees and management at the after-cup party.
