Würzburg, March 20, 2006
What does the contemporary and future-oriented sale of new and used cars look like in the automotive industry, which is currently undergoing major structural change? The answer to this question will be provided by the Sales Award 2006, which will be presented on Saturday, April 1, to the car dealerships with the best sales in Germany. The two automotive trade publications "kfz-betrieb", "Gebrauchtwagen Praxis" and their two partners, the financial services provider CC-Bank and the warranty insurer Car-Garantie, will announce the winners of the "Vertriebs Award 2006" and the other top ten winners at the AMI in Leipzig.
This "industry Oscar" honors the German car dealerships that prove to be trendsetters in the market with the most effective sales concepts. The top ten companies include the following brands: BMW/Mini, Chrysler/Jeep, Ford, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Opel, Porsche, Smart, Toyota. The companies come from different regions of Germany. The jury's criteria for the assessment included vehicle presentation, sales staff commitment, marketing for new and used cars and interfaces with the service business.
The award ceremony will take place in
Hall 3 of the Congress Center Messe Leipzig at 11 a.m.

The annual AMI takes place in Leipzig from April 1 to 9. This "Central European Motor Show" appeals to end consumers and trade visitors alike. One of the trade fair highlights is the presentation of the "Sales Award 2006". The prize, endowed with 2,500 euros, will be awarded for the fourth time and has already established itself in the automotive industry. The 250 or so entries for this year's award are testimony to this. Around 150 industry experts from trade, commerce and industry are once again expected to attend the award ceremony.
"kfz-betrieb" is a trade magazine published by Vogel Auto Medien, Würzburg. The most widely read trade magazine in the automotive industry celebrated its 95th anniversary in 2005 and is the official organ of the German Motor Trade (ZDK), the professional lobby for over 40,000 car dealerships and workshops.
