Winners of the "kfz-betrieb" Women's Award and the

Würzburg/Dresden, October 16, 2007


The female entrepreneur of the year 2007 and the young manager of the year 2007 have been chosen for the automotive industry. The two well-established awards were presented by the trade journal "kfz-betrieb" together with the two companies Shell Deutschland and Santander Consumer Bank at the Gläserne Manufaktur in Dresden at the weekend. The two awards, which are highly regarded in the industry, are presented annually across all brands and throughout Germany.

1st place "Entrepreneur of the Year 2007":
Christina Degenhart, Porsche Center Trier, www.porsche-trier.de (Porsche)


"Ms. Degenhart has quickly brought the Porsche Centre in Trier forward economically and onto a stable course. She is also characterized by her remarkable social commitment," was the jury's verdict. The "kfz-betrieb" Women's Award has been honoring a convincing, impressive female entrepreneur and female manager in the German automotive industry since 1993.


2nd place: Sylke Esser-Bruss, Autohaus Eylert GmbH, Wuppertal, www.eylert-autowelt.de (Renault, Dacia, Isuzu)


3rd place: Monika Hofer, Auto Welt von Rotz AG, Wil, Switzerland, www.vonrotz.ch (Toyota, Mazda, Suzuki, Kia, Citroën)

1st place "Junior of the Year 2007":
Martina Stoppanski, Autohaus Stoppanski GmbH, Ettlingen, www.autohaus-stoppanski.de (Audi, VW)


The jury stated: "At 28, Ms. Stoppanski is a confident, likeable and very competent managing director who completed a degree while working and had her family's back during a difficult time."

The prize has been awarded since 1997 for young women - and since 2003 also for men - up to the age of 35. It is awarded to a convincing, impressive young manager in the German automotive industry. Criteria include job-specific training, a clear succession plan and, if applicable, a well-prepared company handover.
