Top IT meeting in Dresden

Augsburg, February 14, 2008

The countdown to the 4th IT-BUSINESS Executive Summit has begun - on February 21 and 22, the management teams of the largest IT service and technology providers will meet with top-class speakers from business and politics for a rendezvous. The topic this time is "The economy is booming - is IT booming too?"

The longed-for economic upturn has now also reached the IT sector. However, in the booming market for software and IT services, the shortage of skilled workers has become a serious problem. According to a survey by the industry association BITKOM, as many as a quarter of companies had to cancel projects in 2006 because they lacked the right employees. Fast action is required! But how do you attract the best? What are the political framework conditions for skilled workers and companies? What are the future strategies of leading IT service providers?

High-ranking representatives from business, politics and research will discuss these and other topics at the 4th IT-BUSINESS Executive Summit. The elite group will meet for the first time on February 21 and 22 at the Kempinski Hotel Taschenbergpalais in Dresden. The opening speech will be given by the Prime Minister of Saxony, Prof. Dr. Georg Milbradt.

"At this annual summit, we want to promote the development of mutual understanding between business, politics and research as well as the development of joint strategies," says Werner Nieberle, organizer and Managing Director of Vogel IT-Medien. "In recent years, we have always succeeded in doing this with a mixture of keynote speeches, discussion panels and one-to-one talks. The event has long since established itself as a must-attend event for top managers in the IT sector!"

This is also reflected in the fact that market-leading manufacturers such as AMD, Fujitsu Siemens Computers, Hewlett Packard, IBM and Microsoft are once again actively supporting this event as partners. In addition, a cooperation agreement has been concluded with Volkswagen. Participants can therefore look forward to an exquisite gala dinner in the Gläserne Manufaktur.
