Vogel Business Media donates 10,000 euros

Goldenes Kinderdorf and Mein Olympia each receive 5,000 euros

Würzburg, February 18, 2008



Instead of handing out presents to business customers, Vogel Business Media supports one or two charitable projects with a sum of money every year. The 2007 Christmas card campaign resulted in 10,000 euros. EUR 5,000 each went to the two recipients Goldenes Kinderdorf and Familiensportclub Lebenshilfe Würzburg. In November 2007, the same social institutions had already received 15,000 euros each - the proceeds of the joint benefit concert organized by Krick, Main-Post, Koenig & Bauer and Vogel Business Media.



Josef Kellewald, Director of the Golden Children's Village: "The sponsors and management of the Golden Children's Village in Würzburg were delighted to learn of the generous donation from Vogel Business Media. It is always gratifying to see how much creativity can be used to support social institutions such as the Golden Children's Village without depriving others of anything worth mentioning. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this donation - the children will be delighted that it will be used to finance some leisure and vacation activities that would otherwise not be able to take place."



Nives Ebert, former national director of Special Olympics: "It is with great gratitude that the Lebenshilfe Würzburg e.V. family sports club today accepts the Christmas gift from Vogel Business Media. We are particularly pleased that the "Special Olympics - My Olympics" project has once again been deemed worthy of support by Vogel Business Media. This year, the 25th "Mein Olympia" will take place on June 11, 2008 as Germany's largest regional disabled sports event with around 4500 participants in the university sports grounds at Hubland."
