What is the best strategy for archiving data? The roadshow for "Storage & Archiving 2008 Partner Solution Days & IT Decision Makers Congress" will be held for the first time on April 14, 2008 in Hamburg. Two main topics: Data storage and archiving.
The topic of compliance is becoming increasingly important with regard to systematic, proper and permanent email archiving. These tasks of an IT manager are the subject of the 1st series of events of the IT-BUSINESS Academy. At the four locations Hamburg (14.04.), Munich (22.04.), Hanau (06.05.) and Düsseldorf (08.05.), experts will provide answers to practical questions on compliance, virtualization, business continuity, disaster recovery, continuous data protection and, above all, archiving in 25 presentations and keynotes.
Small businesses and large data centers struggle with the same data and storage management issues. Not only do they need to find a better way to manage their data throughout its lifecycle and get the most out of their expensive storage infrastructure, but they also need to reduce rising energy consumption costs. The main objective is to reduce costs and complexity in data centers. At the same time, IT managers must increasingly adhere to compliance regulations. The focus of archiving is on systematic, proper and permanent email archiving.
Practical answers in the program:
Participants at the "Storage & Archiving 2008" event can put together their own individual program from the three series of presentations by market-leading manufacturers such as Hitachi Data Systems, IBM, Hewlett Packard and Symantec. The topics are compliance, virtualization, business continuity, disaster recovery, continuous data protection and, above all, archiving. The latest storage solutions will be presented live in the accompanying trade exhibition.
In the breakout sessions, the event partners will focus on providing practical answers to the most frequently mentioned user requirements:
- How can rapid data growth be managed?
- How can legal requirements be met with appropriate risk management?
- What about the business continuity, stability and reliability of existing storage infrastructures?
- What challenges does storage and archiving pose in terms of IT security?
- How can existing storage systems be consolidated and efficiency increased?
