Würzburg, July 16, 2008
Drivers of company or rental cars are becoming increasingly important for the automotive industry, reports the trade journal "kfz-betrieb" in its latest issue no. 29/2008, which will be published on July 17, 2008. More than half of new registrations are due to commercial registrations. Companies use the opportunity to motivate their employees with a company car or to present themselves as an attractive employer in the competition for qualified employees.
According to the trend barometer of the Corporate Vehicle Observatory (CVO), an online platform for fleet providers throughout Europe, vehicle fleets are recording growth of 20 to 47 percent this year across all company sizes. Both vehicle manufacturers and their retail and service networks want to benefit from this growth market.
More and more manufacturers and importers are launching special programs for fleet customers that make their dealerships fit for this target group - in terms of advice, planning and sales as well as service and mobility services.
