As of January 1, 2009, four additional companies will be combined under the name Vogel Business Media GmbH & Co. KG, four further companies will be combined:
- Vogel Industrie Medien GmbH & Co. KG
- Vogel Auto Medien GmbH & Co. KG
- Vogel Services GmbH
- Vogel Digital Media GmbH
Vogel IT-Medien GmbH, based in Augsburg, and IWW Institut für Wirtschaftspublizistik GmbH & Co. KG will remain independent and unchanged as companies. The same applies to Vogel FORMA, DataM, GIM and all other companies in the Group.
The background to this is the company's consistent focus on cross-media and networked media offerings. The current business model with the four fields of print, online, event and customer service increasingly requires overarching structures. This enables the specialist media company to provide readers, users and visitors with more efficient and customer-oriented specialist knowledge and to offer advertising customers, companies and agencies more efficient communication channels.
There are also many interfaces and cross-cutting issues, such as the topic of "automation". This is also made clear online by the newly created Vogel News Desk at www.vogel.de. Many functions of the Vogel Business Efficiency Portals (BEPs), such as whitepapers and webcasts, can be used by all media brands. In addition, the new organization is intended to simplify internal processes and shorten decision-making paths.
Vogel Business Media is active in the key markets of industry, electronics, laboratory and chemicals as well as automotive and mobility, IT and law/economics/taxes. The structural change is accompanied by a new communication strategy under the Vogel group brand and the claim "Successful together".
