Nordkirchen, February 2009
Today, our society is dependent on a functioning foundation system. Civic involvement is becoming increasingly important, as the state cannot take on all tasks. The foundation system is booming: in 2007, more than 1,000 foundations with legal capacity were established for the first time. In total, there are now well over 16,000 foundations in Germany! All of this was reason enough for the legal experts at the IWW Institute for Economic Journalism to develop a new information service "StiftungsBrief - Steuern Verwaltung Recht".
The need for information for founders, foundations and their advisors is growing. In the new StiftungsBrief, the complex regulations of foundation, charity, donation and tax law are clearly presented for foundation management and their advisors in order to ensure the successful management of a foundation. The first issue of StiftungsBrief was published in January 2009; a reading copy can be ordered from the editors.
The experienced editorial team and its competent authors prepare even difficult issues in a readable and user-friendly way, making the information service a valuable and indispensable support not only for legal and tax advisors but also for professional and voluntary foundation managers and their employees.
