Glysantin (BASF) and AutoAzubi are the main sponsors of the
Vogel Business Media Award: "Car and Training - Best Vocational School 2009"
Good training is the key factor for professional success. The specialist media company Vogel Business Media therefore honors the best vocational school for trainees in the automotive industry. The main sponsors of the award, which is being presented for the first time, are Glysantin from BASF, Europe's best-selling radiator protection agent, and AutoAzubi, the first completely process-oriented learning environment for commercial trainees.
Vocational school classes for automotive mechatronics technicians, automotive salespeople and mechanics for body repair technology from all over Germany can still apply for the "Auto und Ausbildung - Beste Berufsschule 2009" award until June 9, 2009. The prize will be awarded on October 2 at the "Auto und Ausbildung" congress in Würzburg. Information on how to apply can be found at: www.kfz-betrieb.vogel.de/auto_und_ausbildung.
Vogel Business Media, publisher of the trade journals "autoFACHMANN" and "autoKAUFMANN", wants to support vocational schools that use new forms of knowledge transfer such as e-learning in addition to traditional teaching methods such as frontal teaching, group and project work in an exemplary manner. "The combination of these types of learning promotes effectiveness and flexibility and increases the technical and social skills of the trainees," explains Werner Degen, Editor-in-Chief of "autoFACHMANN" and "autoKAUFMANN".
In their corporate philosophy, the partners focus on modern, high-quality training. Everyday working life in the automotive trade is becoming increasingly complex in the areas of electronics, mechanics and - not to be underestimated - the automotive chemicals to be used, such as coolants. The partners agree that optimal preparation of trainees by the vocational schools is therefore essential in addition to in-company training in the workshops. Excellent training is the key factor for later success in the profession, and new ways of imparting knowledge are crucial for this.
The award is decided by a jury made up of representatives from industry, federal vocational training authorities and specialist editors. The winning vocational school receives 1,500 euros and a sculpture, while the second and third prizes are endowed with 1,000 and 500 euros respectively.
"autoFACHMANN" and "autoKAUFMANN" are the official training journals for industrial and commercial training respectively. Adapted to the official vocational training regulations, these publications provide all the knowledge to be imparted (including training and knowledge certificates) for young professionals and trainers in over 40,000 German automotive companies. The total monthly circulation is around 80,000, making "autoFACHMANN" the largest specialist training magazine in Europe. The parent company Vogel Business Media is one of the leading German providers of specialist information with around 100 specialist magazines and 60 websites as well as numerous international activities. Its headquarters are in Würzburg.
