In 2009, IT decision-makers at federal and state level will once again meet at the Petersberg in Bonn: the "eGovernment Summit" will take place from November 12 to 13, 2009. The motto of this year's congress is "eGovernment 3.0 - The Strategy for Germany".
In 2008, the eGovernment Academy organized the "eGovernment Summit" for the first time on the Petersberg in Bonn. A high-caliber group of participants used this opportunity for an intensive exchange on the opportunities and challenges of information processing in the public sector. Due to the positive response, the series will be continued annually.
Own congress for cities
The eGovernment Academy is currently preparing a completely new event especially for IT managers in cities: the first "CIO Cities Congress" will take place in 2010. This will create a platform where city CIOs and IT managers from Germany's largest cities can meet.
Daniela Schilling, Head of the eGovernment Academy: "The IT managers in the cities also want to and should benefit from the opportunity to exchange information directly. The CIO Cities Congress 2010 will fill this gap perfectly."
The event will take place over one and a half days and promises top-class presentations and exciting discussions on current topics.
