The young managers of the year 2009 in the automotive industry have been chosen. Andreas Peter (Autohaus Peter, Mercedes-Benz) is the winner of the highly esteemed "kfz-betrieb" Junior Award. The successful businessman from Nordhausen received the award at the gala evening of the automotive industry's congress for female entrepreneurs at the Künstlerhaus on Lenbachplatz in Munich.
"The jury was impressed by Andreas Peter's career and achievements. During his ten years of training, Peter prepared himself specifically for taking over his parents' business and the internal structures were systematically designed for this," commented "kfz-betrieb" editor-in-chief Wolfgang Michel at the award ceremony.
The established prize is awarded by the trade magazine "kfz-betrieb" and Santander Consumer Bank. The award, which is highly regarded in the industry, is presented annually across all brands and throughout Germany.

The "kfz-betrieb" Junior Award has been presented to female and male junior managers up to the age of 35 since 1997. It honors a convincing, impressive young manager in the German automotive industry. Criteria include job-specific training, a clear succession plan and, if applicable, a well-prepared company handover. The trade magazine "kfz-betrieb" will report in detail on the three winners in a special issue to be published on November 12, 2009.
