Dr. Kurt Eckernkamp, publisher, Chairman of the Supervisory Board and shareholder of the Vogel Medien Group, celebrated his 75th birthday on February 14. The family, Supervisory Board, management and the entire staff wish him all the best on his special day!
Dr. Eckernkamp has been actively involved in shaping the media industry for 40 years. For decades, he has also been involved in numerous industry associations, such as the VZB and the Würzburg-Schweinfurt Chamber of Industry and Commerce. Dr. Eckernkamp pioneered the development of Germany's first computer magazine CHIP and was its successful foster father.
In 2000, Dr. Eckernkamp and his wife Nina Eckernkamp-Vogel founded the "Vogel Foundation", which focuses on promoting the four main areas of education, science, medicine and culture. "I think a founder should inspire! That's a good understanding of civic engagement," emphasizes Dr. Eckernkamp in an interview on the subject of corporate social responsibility.
