Cloud services are increasingly becoming a serious alternative to in-house IT services. However, the security requirements for public networks are significantly higher and follow different laws: "Companies that want to use cloud computing in the future should plan and implement their strategy in such a way that they can rule out security risks as far as possible," explains Sachar Paulus, Professor of Corporate Security and Risk Management at Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences: "This requires a comprehensive adaptation of the IT security strategy in the company."
Paulus, who also works as an analyst and management consultant, is also a speaker at the new intensive seminar "Cloud computing - managing security risks correctly" organized by the SearchSecurity Academy of Vogel IT-Medien, Augsburg. The seminar will take place on June 14 in Frankfurt, June 16 in Hamburg, June 21 in Munich and June 23 in Düsseldorf. The security specialist will show participants what to look out for when using cloud computing securely and which technologies, architectures and IT strategies are required for this.
Peter Schmitz, Editor-in-Chief of SearchSecurity.de: "We have developed this seminar especially for our readers: IT security officers, IT managers and administrators in companies, as well as CISOs and CSOs. Tailored to their needs, they will receive the knowledge they need to lead their company's IT services securely into the cloud."
