Frankfurt am Main / Wiesbaden, May 18, 2010: The "Karl Theodor Vogel Prize of the German Trade Press - Trade Journalist of the Year", endowed with 15,000 euros, was awarded today for the sixth time. The prize is awarded by the German Trade Press in cooperation with the Karl Theodor Vogel Foundation (Würzburg) in recognition of outstanding specialist journalistic work that presents current and/or innovative specialist topics in an exemplary manner in terms of language, style and the use of visual media. The established industry award is presented annually during the Congress of the German Trade Press in Wiesbaden.
René Bender received the first prize of 7,500 euros for his article "Im Zentrum der Macht", published in "Juve Rechtsmarkt". The second prize (5,000 euros) went to Nicolas Katzung for his article "Bewerter im Kulturkampf" in "Immobilien Zeitung". Dr. Clemens Doriat was awarded third prize (2,500 euros) for his article "Farbige Bürsten in fliegenden Formen" in "Kunststoffe".
The three winning articles were selected from around 100 entries by an eleven-member jury chaired by Professor Dr. Will Teichert from the Institute for Culture and Media Management at the University of Music and Theatre in Hamburg.
