Munich/Sindelfingen, The third Embedded Software Engineering Congress will take place this year from December 7 to 9. Visitors can expect around 40 exhibitors, 97 high-caliber presentations and 10 compact seminars. The event is organized by the trade magazine ELEKTRONIKPRAXIS from Vogel Business Media, Würzburg, and MicroConsult Microelectronics Consulting & Training GmbH, Munich. The program includes current special topics such as green software, agility and ISO 26262.

Up-to-date knowledge from modeling to testing and management
Experts from leading operating system and tool manufacturers, specialists from engineering offices, engineering service providers, experienced trainers, numerous representatives and professors from institutes and universities as well as development experts and project managers from the industry are involved in the 2010 program.
During the three days of the congress, which can be booked individually, participants will be able to update their knowledge on many topics: Architecture & Processes, Modeling, Implementation, Real-Time and RTOS, Open Source, Multicore, Safety-Critical Software Design, GUI Development, Modeling & Testing, Testing & Quality, Project Management and Management Knowledge.
Current topics include a series of lectures on energy-efficient software and presentations on agile process models. Developers from the automotive industry can also get up to speed with the new ISO 26262 standard for functional safety in a separate series of lectures. Speakers have been invited from TÜV Nord, Robert Bosch and the Technical University of Munich.
Keynote: Former Airbus manager on complex software systems
The 2010 keynote speech is entitled "Embedded systems in aviation: safety and integrity in the face of high complexity". Former Airbus manager Henning Butz will report on how aircraft construction is mastering the interoperability requirements of complex, dynamic systems and preparing for future challenges and opportunities. He thus provides inspiration and impetus for all those who want to make complex embedded systems "fly".
