Sabine Fremerey (Auto Müller, Hüttenberg) wins the "kfz-betrieb" Women's Award 2010. kfz-betrieb" trade magazine, together with Shell Germany, named the 41-year-old VW dealer as Entrepreneur of the Year in the automotive industry. The coveted, Germany-wide industry award is brand-independent and was presented in Vienna at the 20th Congress of Women Entrepreneurs in the Automotive Industry.
Fremerey had to fight hard for her position. She overcame several strokes of fate and managed to keep the company on the road to success. The jury particularly praised the assertiveness and dedication with which she successfully manages her company, while also balancing family and career.
Second place went to Susanne Oppel-Burns (Oppel car dealership). The 35-year-old managing director of two Mercedes dealerships in Ansbach and Aue with a total of five locations is passionate about collecting ideas that contribute to the well-being of the company and its employees. The jury particularly praised her commitment to health management and her concept for optimizing remuneration. Her work has always been characterized by many ideas with which she has made her own mark, describes the jury.
Andrea Rapp-Kübler (Autohaus Rapp, Schemmerhofen), whose path to becoming the head of her parents' Renault dealership was not initially foreseeable, came in third place. As a foreign language correspondent, she worked her way into the car dealership business due to strokes of fate in her family and changed her career plans for her parents' business and successfully implemented them.
Over 100 industry colleagues and manufacturer representatives congratulated her at the gala evening of this year's congress of female entrepreneurs of the automotive industry in Vienna. The "kfz-betrieb" Women's Award is aimed at female managers in the automotive industry and is presented annually to an excellent female entrepreneur. The focus is on personality, individual accents in the automotive business and the balance between career and family.
