The program for the fifth Connectors User Congress is online. Visitors can expect almost 20 exhibitors as well as 22 high-caliber presentations and six workshops. In addition to perennial hot topics, the 2011 program includes current discussion points such as connectors for electric cars and railroad technology, quality problems with connectors, M12 connectors and coating systems for connector contacts.
Visitors can now find out more about the speakers, topics and content and register online at http://www.steckverbinderkongress.de . The connector congress will take place this year from July 5 to 6 at the Vogel Convention Center in Würzburg. Participant feedback and exhibitor figures from previous years prove that the connector congress has developed into the most important and popular meeting place for the industry.

Six workshops again this year
Following the great demand in previous years, six workshops will be offered again this year, organized by renowned experts from the industry. Each participant can take part in a maximum of three hands-on seminars. The number of participants is limited. The seminars offer insights into electrical engineering practice, connector selection, Industrial Ethernet, cable overmoulding, connector sealing, RF measurement technology and the simulation of electrical parameters of connectors.
Keynote on e-mobility
The 2011 keynote speech is entitled "Strategies, technologies and vehicle concepts for e-mobility". The Vice President of Leoni Kabel's Electromobility Business Unit, Dr. Helmut Kalb, will report on the requirements the cable specialist sees on the part of automobile manufacturers and where future challenges and opportunities lie.
