After the flop of Windows Vista, many companies were initially hesitant to switch to the new Microsoft operating system Windows 7. Now Windows 7 has passed the test and the comprehensive migration of clients to Windows 7 is on the agenda of many IT departments this year.
Consultant and seminar lecturer Matthias Wessner knows: "Once the operating system has been installed or configured, the real challenge for the IT manager begins. When applications and user profiles have to be ported to the new system, unexpected compatibility and application obstacles often arise - especially in virtualized environments."
In the SearchSoftware Academy's intensive seminar "Windows 7 - successful migration in practice", Wessner shows which hurdles can arise during migration and how they can be overcome. He has been dealing with the topic of application compatibility and deployment infrastructures for many years. In the one-day seminar, he will provide participants with both strategically relevant knowledge and practical tools for the operational changeover to the current Microsoft operating system. In concrete solution scenarios and live demos, Wessner will show which solution approaches are suitable for the respective IT environment. He will also address the topic of license models in connection with Windows 7.
The full-day seminar will take place in July/August 2011 at three locations in Germany: On 13.07. in Düsseldorf, on 14.07. in Munich and on
18.08. in Frankfurt am Main.
