The 1st Würzburg Social Media Business Lounge took place at the Vogel Convention Center on June 10, 2011. The series of events, which will initially take place once a month, is aimed at anyone interested in the business applications of social media. Organized by Würzburg AG and Vogel Business Media, the discussion round is intended to promote the exchange of know-how and experience and establish a network for the region to exchange ideas on these topics. The focus is exclusively on professional applications.
At the first event, three experts spoke on the topics of "augmented reality" (Chris Bouveret, Buena la Vista), "YouTube for professionals" (Matthias Dieckhoff, Vogel Business Media) and "Facebook competitions - what is allowed" (Aleksan¬dar Radic, Face of Solution). The successful kick-off event came to an end with a Waldmeister punch and good conversation.
"It's amazing how quickly new ideas and creations gain a foothold on the Internet. Social media is becoming an indispensable building block for corporate communications," says Claus Schreiner, CEO of Würzburg AG, summarizing the first experiences in the Social Media Business Lounge: "It is all the more important that we have taken up the topic in this relaxed form of exchange of experiences and are staying on the ball."
