Stefan Biedermann is leaving the company after twelve successful years as Managing Director of Vogel Business Media Schweiz AG. The previous Editor-in-Chief of SMM Schweizer Maschinenmarkt, Matthias Böhm (47), will be working as Publisher in addition to Editor-in-Chief from October 1, 2011 and will thus assume economic and strategic responsibility for the Swiss Vogel subsidiary. He will be supported in his new duties by Sales Manager Trudi Halama.
In addition to SMM, Vogel Business Media Schweiz AG also publishes MSM Le Mensuel de l'Industrie for French-speaking Switzerland, the SMM/MSM Guide buying guide and operates a growing online portal. With a market share of over 50 percent, Vogel Business Media Schweiz AG is the leading specialist media house for industry in Switzerland.
Ken Fouhy, responsible for the German and international activities of the MM-Maschinenmarkt Group based in Würzburg, will be appointed to the Board of Directors of Vogel Business Media Schweiz AG from October. In this role, he will coordinate the cooperation between the Swiss subsidiaries and the Vogel parent company in Würzburg.
Stefan Biedermann will join Effingerhof AG as Managing Director on November 1, 2011. Effingerhof AG is a small, local media company with 3 weekly newspapers for the local market, 1 nightlife magazine for the canton of Aargau and a commercial print shop. The company is 147 years old and employs around 60 people.
