The 6th charity concert of the Würzburg printing and media companies will take place on Friday, November 11, 2011, at 8:00 pm at the Vogel Convention Center in Würzburg. The program this time features the renowned Prague Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra with soloists Katarzyna Mycka (marimba) and Gábor Boldoczki (trumpet). Tickets are now available in advance for 80 euros.
The Prague Chamber Philharmonic is a versatile, dynamic and young ensemble, most of whose members have been with the orchestra since its foundation. They will perform works by J. S. Bach, E. Séjourne, G. F. Händel, N. Rosauro, G. Donizetti and E. Grieg.
The concert is being organized by the four Würzburg printing and media companies Koenig & Bauer, Mediengruppe Main-Post, Robert Krick Verlag and Vogel Business Media.
With the charity concert, the organizers have established Würzburg's second largest annual charity event after the Sports and Media Ball. More than 700 concertgoers are expected again in 2011. Personalities, organizations and service clubs from Würzburg society support this extraordinary event and the good cause it promotes. In the first five years, over 200,000 euros have been donated in this way.
