The BMW i3 Concept shows how consistently the Munich-based company is approaching the mobility of the future, both in the vehicle concept itself and in the processes. The vehicle-independent services will be a real novelty. You can read the details of the BMW i3 Concept and i8 Concept in the September issue of "Automobil Industrie".
"We are targeting new customers with the BMW i. We want to reach them with an additional range of mobility services in their living environments," explains Chairman of the Board of Management Dr. Norbert Reithofer. The focus is on solutions for better use of parking space, intelligent navigation systems with location-based information, intermodal route planning and "Drive now" car sharing, for example. The range of services could be expanded to include many more innovations through cooperation and strategic participation. "It's about a new understanding of mobility," summarizes Reithofer.
