MM MaschinenMarkt from Vogel Business Media, Würzburg, presented the "MM Award for EMO 2011" innovation prize in Hanover. At the world's leading trade fair for metalworking (EMO), which took place in Hanover from September 19 to 24, 2011, this award was presented to the most innovative products and innovations at the trade fair.
The awards ceremony took place on the evening of the first day of the trade fair at the exhibition center. Ken Fouhy, Editor-in-Chief and Publisher of MM MaschinenMarkt, praised the large number of innovative new products and the enthusiasm with which the companies presented themselves at EMO. "EMO Hannover triggers an avalanche of innovations in metalworking. We have honored the best with the MM Award," says Ken Fouhy.
EMO exhibitors had the opportunity to enter their innovations in eleven categories for the MM Award at EMO 2011.

- Peripherals category: OTT-JAKOB Spanntechnik GmbH, Lengenwang
- Measurement category: m&h Inprocess Messtechnik GmbH, Waldburg
- Software category: STEP-TEC AG, CH-Luterbach
- Category Construction Elements: WITTENSTEIN alpha GmbH, Igersheim
This year, the trade medium MM Maschinenmarkt also published the thickest trade fair newspaper in EMO history with 72 pages.
