Lectures on the trend topic of cyber physical systems were added as a new complex in 2011. The social events on the first four evenings are ideal for personal networking.
Cyber-physical systems - challenge and opportunity
With cyber-physical systems, embedded systems are facing a generational change. Prof. Dr. Brigitte Vogel-Heuser from the Technical University of Munich will provide an outlook into this future in her keynote speech on Tuesday, December 6. Cyber-physical systems address the convergence of software-intensive embedded systems with global digital networks. They enable new industrial applications with high economic potential, such as integrated systems for traffic control or intelligent power grids. The high innovation potential of cyber-physical systems poses major economic, technical and scientific challenges for German companies. The growing scope of embedded software and its increasing networking make a paradigm shift in the development process imperative.
