To help the people in the Horn of Africa, the specialist medium Elektronikpraxis is dedicating the current issue to the motto "Electronics helps". The editorial team, sales and administration worked together to organize, advertise and produce this special edition. The entire advertising revenue from issue 18 of the specialist medium Elektronikpraxis from Vogel Business Media was donated to "Aktion Deutschland Hilft". 42,000 euros were handed over to Kai Pleuser (Corporate Cooperation / Corporate Social Responsibility) at "Aktion Deutschland Hilft". In addition, readers donated a further 16,374 euros via a special donation account.



Aktion Deutschland Hilft is an association of German aid organizations that work together to provide fast and effective help in the event of major disasters and emergencies abroad.



While the amount of the advertising donations goes to Aktion Deutschland Hilft and is distributed from there to 20 aid organizations, Elektronikpraxis also called on readers to donate to CARE Deutschland-Luxemburg e.V. for the "Elektronik hilft" campaign under the keyword "Ostafrika Elektronikpraxis hilft". The proceeds amounted to 16,374 euros (as of September 29, 2011).

Stefan Rühling, CEO of Vogel Business Media, comments on the campaign: "With this campaign, our colleagues at Elektronikpraxis are also showing our readers and customers that our industry magazine is able to mobilize people in the electronics industry for humanity!"
