Self-networking wireless sensors - a robot controller that eliminates disruptive forces during press-fitting - a conference report on high performance engineering: the current issue of the Hightech Cluster Automation Valley Nordbayern has many exciting topics. It was published as a special edition of the automation magazine "elektrotechnik" by Vogel Business Media in Würzburg.
Northern Bavaria's automation technology companies and institutions pool their expertise in the cluster. On the initiative of the Nuremberg Chamber of Industry and Commerce and with the support of the Bayreuth Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Würzburg/Schweinfurt Chamber of Industry and Commerce, they set up the "Automation Valley Nordbayern" cooperation forum in 2004.
The magazine is traditionally published - now for the seventh time - always on the occasion of the Nuremberg trade fair 'SPS/IPC/Drives' at the end of November. Renowned authors provide information about Automation Valley North Bavaria, its companies and automation expertise, economic market significance and technological performance. An extensive information section presents everything worth knowing in figures, data and facts from the region. The high-tech partners in turn present their product portfolio.
Background to the initiative: Franconia occupies a leading position in electrical automation technology throughout Germany. Around 40,000 people in more than 220 companies work in this field in the region. The aim is to strengthen the competitiveness and innovative power of automation technology in northern Bavaria and to form a cross-company network. The initiative is coordinated by the IHKs in Bayreuth, Nuremberg and Würzburg/Schweinfurt. Since the beginning of 2007, Automation Valley has also acted as the northern Bavarian pillar of the Bavarian "Mechatronics and Automation" cluster.
