There is currently a general theme in the entire automotive industry: No, not electromobility! But lightweight construction. That's where it all starts. And of course, the electric cars that will increasingly be driving around in the future should increase their radius by weighing less. While at the same time maintaining stability and safety.
The specialist medium "Automobil Industrie" from Vogel Business Media is launching a new event specifically on this topic: the "Lightweight Construction Summit". Companies in the Main-Franconia region are invited to take part and use this platform. After all, Mainfranken is ranked 4th in Germany in terms of automotive and mechanical engineering. And after all, the speakers are exactly the right experts and contacts.
The first "Automotive Industry Lightweight Construction Summit" will take place at the Vogel Convention Center in Würzburg on March 13 and 14. The aim of the congress is to bring together the leading minds on the subject. Keynote speaker is the inventor of the Audi Space Frame and long-time head of the Audi Lightweight Design Center Neckarsulm, Mr. Heinrich Timm, on the topic "Less is more - but not easier".
The lightweight construction strategies of car manufacturers will be discussed by top industry figures who are driving forward lightweight construction as a key technology for the sustainable mobility of the future. Among others, Dr. Klaus Koglin (Head of Technology Development, Audi AG), Dr. Jürgen Wesemann (Ford Forschungszentrum Aachen GmbH), Dr. Hansjörg Kurz (Head of Lightweight and Mixed Construction, Technology Development, Volkswagen AG) will be present. "Sustainable resonance in lightweight construction development requires transparent presentation of interrelationships and requirements - in the industry and beyond. The "Automobil Industrie Leichtbau-Gipfel" offers a competent platform for this and brings together the leading minds on the subject," explains Editor-in-Chief Claus-Peter Köth.
