German companies and public services invest over nine billion euros in hosting offers from service providers. The Experton Group AG is convinced that this figure will rise to 11 billion by 2015 and that hosting will become one of the most important ICT service markets in the future.
Why is that? The huge success of cloud computing is also driving hosting forward. Companies that value individual and dedicated solutions in particular are turning to hosting services. The reasons for this are cost reductions, increased flexibility and simplified management. This market development also opens up new opportunities and possibilities for IT partners. The "HOSTING & SERVICE PROVIDER SUMMIT 2012" of the IT-BUSINESS Academy therefore offers the opportunity to find out about the latest trends and possible applications and to exchange ideas with colleagues and experts. The summit is aimed at the management level of hosting and service provider companies, operators of data centers, telcos and co-locators as well as internal service providers of large companies. Companies that want to add "service providing" to their business model are also invited.
The summit pursues business and technological approaches: In specialist presentations, discussion forums and workshops, technology vendors and service providers give best-practice and how-to reports. Invited guests can actively participate in the event by contributing to discussions or moderating a discussion forum. The HOSTING & SERVICE PROVIDER Award will be presented for the first time at the end of the two-day event. The award recognizes innovative and successful hosting and service offerings in the categories Domain Services, Website Services, Infrastructure Services and Application Services.
