Hardly any device can do without them these days. When they give up the ghost, the world comes to a standstill. What are the market trends and developments in connectors? How do you test and qualify them? Which connector is suitable for the application? This and more will be discussed by users and manufacturers at the 6th Connector Congress on June 19 and 20, 2012 in Würzburg. Today, connectors are indispensable in all areas, be it in the automotive, communications or medical technology, industrial and consumer electronics or automation. Progressive miniaturization and improved energy efficiency combined with greater functionality are leading to new designs and system concepts.
Alex Cristescu from Canada will be presenting a holistic approach to connector development at the user congress. He will demonstrate practical solutions that can be used to sharpen the focus on unusual and innovative connection technologies right from the start of new product development and take factors such as ergonomics, maintenance and replacement into account from the outset. In addition, experienced speakers will talk about topics such as material selection and material costs, application-specific connectors, compact connectors, qualification and manufacturing processes. Case studies on finding the cause of a connector failure will also be discussed. Simulation techniques and methods for the systematic de-embedding of RF connectors will also be presented. In eight practical workshops, experts from the industry will impart basic principles, specific know-how and provide assistance in selecting the right connector, design-in, 3D printing, simulation, sealing and much more. The congress also offers a platform for personal discussions and networking between speakers, participants and exhibitors.
The 6th Connectors Congress will take place on:
19/20.06.2012 at the Vogel Convention Center, Würzburg
