The two online marketplaces of MM Maschinenmarkt and the European Association of Machine Tool Merchants (EAMTM) have recently been connected via an interface. Although there are two different operators behind MM-Börse Online (www.gebrauchtmaschinen.de) and EAMTM Machine Tools Online (www.eamtm.com), namely MM Maschinenmarkt and the EAMTM dealer association, data maintenance for used machines can be carried out once for both portals in future and will therefore be greatly simplified.
For users of www.eamtm.com, the procedure remains the same: As before, they manage their stocks using the familiar administration tool. The comparison with the EAMTM used machinery portal will be carried out automatically as usual. The same applies to dealers who use www.eamtm.com and www.gebrauchtmaschinen.de in parallel and who have also booked the interface option. At the same time, the stocks in both databases are synchronized daily without the user having to do anything themselves. For MM publisher Ken Fouhy, the advantages are obvious: "Data maintenance only has to be done once. The entries on both portals are always up to date. At the same time, the user increases his international reach - both in print and online."
More than 20,000 machine tools are constantly listed on EAMTM Machine Tools Online and are available directly from stock from the connected dealers. The product spectrum ranges from metal-cutting and forming machine tools to machine accessories, injection molding machines and machines for surface processing. MM-Börse Online offers an average of over 13,000 used machines from the metalworking, woodworking, materials handling and other categories. However, an EAMTM membership is required to use the new interface. Further information is available at: EAMTM, Villalaan 83, 1190 Brussels (Belgium), tel. (00 32-25) 34 15-15, info@eamtm.com.
