Modern logistics centers manage with few staff. The goal of most companies: Automation and as few employees as possible in the processes. Not so in Böblingen. There, Gemeinnützige Werkstätten und Wohnstätten GmbH (GWW) supplies the Daimler plant in Sindelfingen just in sequence. Those responsible are breaking down the processes in order to involve as many people with disabilities as possible and provide them with work. This goes against the grain of classic logistics theory, but it still works. The figures speak in favor of the disabled logisticians, so it's no wonder that GWW is focusing on accessibility in logistics in the future.
