Amazon has long remained silent about the accusations of poor employee treatment. Now the company is opening up and gave MM Logistik a first look inside the Rheinberg logistics center. "We do a lot in terms of safety and good working conditions. This also includes bright working areas and air conditioning in the warehouse as well as an attractive canteen," emphasizes Raimund Paetzmann, Amazon Senior Manager Real Estate.
One thing is certain: Amazon has the processes under control, is investing in modern conveyor technology and is a highly sought-after employer in the region. The new distribution center is still operating in manual mode, but the Christmas business will require technical support in the coming weeks.
