The specialist medium "Blechnet" is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and would like to share it with its readers and advertising customers. "When Blechnet first appeared 10 years ago, there was no way of knowing how important this medium would one day become," explains Dietmar Kuhn, Editor-in-Chief: "Nothing in the world works without sheet metal, be it in automotive engineering, aircraft and rail vehicle construction, shipbuilding, pipe manufacturing and processing, apparatus engineering and household technology or in the electrical and electronics industry. At the same time, the sheet metal processing industry has high demands. As the voice of a key industrial sector, we want to meet these demands at all times."
In the anniversary campaign "Smart things made of sheet metal", the trade medium is calling for a competition of ideas until January 18: Anyone who feels connected to the sheet metal scene - whether a company, employee, sheet metal processor or inventor - can present their own idea, product or object to the industry. The first prize is a feel-good weekend at Wörner's castle. The winning objects will also be auctioned off for charity.
10 years of Blechnet also means 10 years of market-accompanying publications with news, technical articles and user stories from the industry, bundled into a view of the entire process chain of economic sheet metal processing. Founded and published by specialist journalist Ralf Schiffler, Blechnet moved to the industrial media publishing division of Vogel Business Media in 2006. Since then, "Blechnet" has undergone rapid development and is now one of the leading industry titles for sheet metal processing. One feature that is frequently emphasized by readers and customers is the high-quality layout and content of the specialist medium with a combination of print and online that is unique in its sector. In addition to the Blechnet print and online magazine, the trade fair newspapers for the "Euroblech" and "Blechexpo" trade fairs have been published under the name MM-Blechnet-Daily since 2008 and the coveted "Euroblech Award" has been presented at the Euroblech events in various categories for innovative developments by exhibitors. At Euroblech 2012, the jury registered a record number of over 100 applicants.
