After four successful years, selling cars will become more challenging again in 2013, even for Germany's major car dealers. Many an entrepreneur fears a drastic decline in sales and expects one of the most difficult years ever. The industry, on the other hand, continues to expect high sales figures. Germany's major car dealers must assert themselves in this field of tension.
Grow or consolidate, save or invest - what are the management's recipes for success in the German car trade? "kfz-betrieb" spoke to managing directors and executives from 61 companies about strategies as well as successful and less successful automotive brands. "Being a major car dealer once is not necessarily automatic forever. Even if, fortunately, no big player was caught out in 2012, there are still many examples from previous years where mismanagement led to insolvency," warns "kfz-betrieb" editor-in-chief Wolfgang Michel.
For the sixth time, the trade journal "kfz-betrieb" is presenting the success strategies of Germany's major car dealers at the end of the year. The special edition will be published on December 13 and is an industry navigator for sales and service in the German automotive trade as well as a who's who of the major players for new and used cars and commercial vehicles. On 292 pages, the editorial team shows what makes good car dealers successful, which companies are among the top 100, how the network structures of manufacturers and importers are set up and which dealers are most successful with which brands.
