The four trade media "Process", "Process worldwide", "PharmaTec" and "Schüttgut" presented the Innovation Awards for the 6th time at the Powtech/TechnoPharm trade fair in Nuremberg on April 23. The jury honors the most innovative equipment and processes in the chemical, pharmaceutical and process engineering industries. Completely newly developed or further developed components, apparatus, systems or processes that differ significantly from the previous state of the art are included in the assessment.
This year, 52 applications were submitted for evaluation. The criteria for the award are the degree of innovation, quality, cost-effectiveness for users, existing applications/pilot projects and presentation. The expert jury selected the winners at an official awards ceremony on the first evening of the trade fair. "The high number of applications once again impressively demonstrates how innovative many process technology suppliers are. They secure a good market position with highly interesting further developments and innovations," emphasized Editor-in-Chief and Group Publisher Gerd Kielburger.
The winners were honored in a total of six categories:
1. basic processes for powder and bulk solids: BBA Innova AG (Aarau)
2. apparatus engineering and process components: Netzsch-Feinmahltechnik GmbH (Selb)
3. particle/material analysis and characterization: Decagon Devices Europe (Dardilly)
